Joel wasn't as smart as I thought he was. Joel actually wasn't as smart as he thought he was--he was too easily manipulated especially with his votes against Mary and Mikey B.

When the teams mixed, Joel encountered Cieree, the master of manipulation.

And Joel still didn't get it because in his closing statements he whined and complained that they chose Chet over himself as if it was a popularity contest. Most people would have said, "I did the best that I could but I guess they saw me as a big threat and got rid of me."

Joel's attitude reminds me of the high-school football captain after the home-coming queen has picked the chess team geek as her prom date. Joel really was a caveman.

I'd have thought Ozzy would have learnt from James' mistake last season and played his individual immunity.

Yeah, that hidden immunity idol just seems to give people a false sense of security. I don't think it's been played once since they changed the format (i.e. must reveal before votes revealed).

You'd think that they'd know by now that the person who feels the most secure is usually the one who gets blind-sided and voted out :p.

Cerie played it well, though, because when Jeff asked her opinion at the tribal council, she said the perfect thing to keep Ozzie clueless. And she stopped talking. Some people don't know when to stop and then people start getting all suspicious.

I thought that males could not be swayed so easy by a wink and a smile. (plus lying) This is about the third time that the idol has not been played and should be on the top ten list of "stupid" moves.
