Just had to rescan for 49-1 and the signal has went up to 90% on my Jvc tv. Before it was around 65% without moving the antenna.

Did not check the other signal strength on the other channels but they were all there.

Today I got 3 extra channel 51's (ION tv), 26 + 26.1, another 2,
and finnally 49 WNYO-HD!!! Took my antenna off a tripod on
the roof and put up a 40' tower trying last year to get 49. The
channel map says they had to move the transmitter, mabey thats
what did it. Really happy though, we watch a lot of 49.
27 OTA's :D

I use to get WNYO rock solid now the auto scan pauses at 49.1, it's trying to lock, but no luck. ION same thing.

Where exactly is the new transmitter for WNYO- south of GI?

Yes, southeast of Grand Island... it is the same tower that they had used for analog...

I'm getting a rock-solid ION signal and its 3 sub-channels. The sub-channels' pictures are surprisingly good.

Now, if only NBC would broadcast from a taller tower and I'd be completely contented.

WPXJ 51 now coming in on Digital 23 with 4 channels here in Mississauga. Signals not that strong at only 3 bars. I'm using very high gain directional antenna on a 45 foot tower.

I was able to bag ION about an hour ago and it just disappeared. Strength wasn't the greatest (45-48% on my Aquos). I think this is going to be a tough station to get consistently with my setup.

The other Buffalo stations have improved. WNLO is a veritable flamethrower!

The subchannels look good because the main channel is only 480i.

2.2 is an old sport channel now..similar to the extinct 7.3..???..

it is not a weather channel. anymore...

Yeah ION's hard to pick up and even with my rig. But I'm hoping it's because they are still in the testing phase of things. This is a brand new transmitter that just went live today on digital 23. They never start them out at full power... you bring the power up slowly and see how things first work.

Now receiving Ion 51.1,4 3 bars on my old samsung 151.All other Buffalo stations at max.I Suspect this channel will not be reliable as analog 51 was usually poor.160km is little to far.

Hi
I just rescanned my 32"Sharp Aquos, and I was able to get ION...51.1,51.2,51.3&51.4..60% on the signal meter, close to the Toronto ZOO.Which is very good, just need to watch it for stability, because I know the weather could be a factor and only time will tell.
Cheers

ION is blasting in here now.

Earlier today, I could not get it at all. Did some tweaking to my aim, added the 7778 and still only got 55-65% with some drops all afternoon. Blamed it on the turnover on the lake...

But now tonight, it is consistently 83-85% (checking during HNIC Commercials!)

Did they increase power once they were sure all was well after the flash cut - or will we be expecting this to be normal due to the usual afternoon lake games? If the latter, I have to say that 30% is a huge difference.

Location: Tenth line + Thomas @ Mississauga

ION(51.1, 51.2, 51.3 and 51.4) came in around 40% with Pre-amp 7777 in my attic. Not very stable.

In Etobicoke, I had Ion for about 5 to 10 minutes and gone again, but I did re-scan so I don't need to deal with the physical/logical conflict of channel 23 again. Analog 51 had been coming in strong for me lately so I was hoping for much better results. :(

WNYO is MUCH weaker for me. It was always one of the weakest when it was on 34, now it is the weakest by far - lots of breakups. Analog 49 was always fine for me.

I never had much problems with WGRZ like alot of people here but it certainly isn't weaker.

I was also able to pick up Rochester's Nite Lite on analog 21.

Unless WPXJ and WNYO improve a bit, I'm going to start yearning for the days before June 12, 2009. :(

I have never seen ION 51.1/.2/.3/.4 before tonight. It's a solid 80% here.

I also have channels 3.1 NBC & 3.2 weather from cleveland at a solid 80%.

I hope this is a sign of more choices and stable TV signal reception levels.

WPXJ is definitely stronger to the East of Toronto. I'm still getting it at full strength on my signal meter, as high as it can go, and WNYO-DT was always 2-3 bars on 34 now its peaking my signal strength meter on 49 as well. WNYB is the only station that has been iffy for me.
