: Idiotic sloppy insert ads on BET

I don't normally watch BET to catch this, but I have a friend staying and he's a music video buff, so he had me turn on BET. Several times tonight, I notice stupid Rogers does these insert ads on for their (crappy) offerings (mostly Rogers-owned Toronto radio stations). They do it like clockwork for a whole minute at 14 & 45 minutes past the hour during a music video and two :30 second spots later, the interrupted music video finishes off. What dolts! :eek:

Now I realize they had CRTC approval to pitch only cable or broadcast network offerings on U.S. cable channels like A&E, TLC and BET. But since they rules were relaxed to allow them to advertise non-TV promotions that actually make the cable co. money, like cable Internet, home phone and digital cable, it's been that and nothing but Toronto Ontario Rogers-owned radio station inserts (..... and I'm in London!!!), usually followed by that balding dickhead "dad" in his backyard pitching Rogers Home Phone.

Not much I can do about that, but they should at least get their act together about not interrupting programming that we PAY FOR to bombard us w/ even MORE ads.
