Does such a thing exist?

What I'm really looking for is wireless AM radio. However, since I can't seem to find a really good quality set (feel free to correct me if you know of a good set!), it just dawned on me that maybe I could get a good pair of wireless headphones and broadcast from my radio. What makes this a little diffrent for searching now though, is I'm not as concerned so much about bass thumping, high pitch ear splitting qualities, just good range so I can wear them throughout the house. Price is more or less a non issue (within reason :) ). Range and comfort top the list of wants...

Any suggestions?

Thanks to all, and Happy Holidays!

Good range, easy.
No static, outlook not so good.

Just about all wireless headphones use an analogue RF connection, which is great because they have a 300' range, but bad because they a susceptible to lots of interference.

Any $30 pair should do ok for AM radio use.

but I don't know if any of them are "wireless" (I assume you mean battery operated?).

Thanks for the info so far guys...

I have an old set of wireless Sennheiser's that imo are absolutely useless. They were a gist in the first place and were pobably an inexpensive model, but I find even if I'm sitteing next to the base station, and turn my head the wrong way, I'll lose reception. So I'm guessing the industry has improved on such sets...

As far as wireless goes, sorry I wasn't very clear, I meant like a Walkman syle, but without the attached radio. I just want to be able to listen to talk shows without bothering others. (They're actually for my Mom, and talk shows tend to drive my Dad bonkers!)

The model she has know is the Sony SRF-H11 S2 Sports AM / FM Radio Walkman with Rear Reflector Headphones. http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=11038972 Her's Sony product information page.

Again, thanks for the help...
