What has happened to Much More Retro on channel 255.
I heard that they were unable to provide it to communities
outside of Regina, but now it is gone in Regina as well.
What gives??

Much More Retro is still on Sask tel Max. So here is other providers in Regina that you can pursue. So if you like that channel that Access no longer provides so switch to the Tel co.
Thanks for your question on this matter.:)

So far I am happy with the services that Access supplies,
so I don't really want to change providers, I was just curious
why they took that channel off.

They got rid of MuchRetro and MuchLoud at the same time. The channels didn't cease to exist, but for some reason Access could no longer offer them. Seems like a step backwards to me - I loved those channels.

bell (our provider for those channels) stopped providing them, my guess is that Sasktel uses a different provider.

I checked the Bell Expressvu channel lineup only to discover that
those two channels are still available through their service. How
thoughful of them to stop providing two channels that are popular
with viewers. Perhaps Access should go back to obtaining signals
from Cancom (now Starchoice). We then would not be at the mercy
of what Expressvu chooses to let us see (eg: HD simulcasts) But that
is another topic.

Yeah, I am really not sure what happened there. We do get a fair amount of channels from star choice =shaw, but those 2 just do not seem to be coming through. I remember when bell cut them out we started exploring different providers but I guess they just haven't found anything cost efficient yet

The only video channels that are left in Access' lineup play pure crap 23.5 hours a day.
That's why I was so unhappy when they got rid of the two channels that actually played music.
