I would like to perform basic calibration on a new tv. I subscribe to Shaw analog "classic" cable. Is there a channel that shows the basic SMPTE test bars that I could use to calibrate against? Even if only at certain times of the day?

i think the knowledge network (6) and channels like ch and that cbc french channel at night and a bunch of other channels. just check the tv listings and look for the off air channels at night, usually after 12 till 5 i think.
