Access Communications launches 150 new channels in La Ronge and Free Movie Preview Access Communications customers in La Ronge will soon have enough viewing options to be able to watch their favourite movies and shows virtually when they want.

The benefits for La Ronge cable customers begin on November 5th with a free, three month preview of all six Movie Central movie channels. Movie Central is the ultimate uncut and commercial-free entertainment service offering hundreds of movies a month. The preview runs to February 5, 2008.

Also on November 5, the co-operative will launch the first phase of new channels with the addition of nine new channels into the existing lineup for all to see. The channels added on Nov 5th will include : CLT, CTV Newsnet, CPAC, Golf Channel, TV Tropolis, The Score, Turner Movie Classics, Slice and shortly after, American Movie Classics.

A month later, on December 5, 2007, the new Access Digital lineup with an additional 141 channels will be available. The new digital lineup includes 12 crystal-clear high definition services, 40 free digital music channels and a variety of specialty and theme pack options.

I thought they started censoring some (all?) of the low def Movie Central channels over this past year. I'm not sure about that.

What I am sure about though is the claim that Movie Central is the "ultimate" service of its kind is false. Out of the 2 such services in Canada, they're 2nd by a long shot.
