I guys, i just bought a Sharp LC-42D62U and i hooked it up to my PS3. And i tryed to watch mission impossible 3, i said tryed because all i was doing was trying to fix the image. It's almost like they filmed it on a beach, the movie is really grainy.Is there any trick or guide to setup this TV cuz i know it can do better then that.

Use a calibration DVD like Digital Video Essentials, AVIA or even a THX DVD if you are in a hurry and make the necessary adjustments. DVE comes in both DVD and hidef versions.

Typically, one buys calibration discs from major electronic chains or rents from major video stores. As noted in the above link, you need to ensure that colour filters are included with the disc. I think that the DVE (regular or HD-DVD) is around $30 or so. DVE is probably the easiest one to locate.
If you can't locate one, you could probably try a THX certified DVD like Star Wars, etc and go thru their simple procedure for calibrating your set....it's a quick and dirty method if you are in a crunch. However, DVE, AVIA or Sound and Vision's calibration discs are the way to go if you are a perfectionist.
