I invite you to give us a shot at your business! We professionally calibrate all the HD sets we sell.

Regardless, if you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask them here!

John, do you ever travel around to do calibrations?

Yes, anywhere within a 15 minute radius of Square One shopping centre in Mississauga

I don't do in-home calibrations very often as I work in the store 6 days a week, but I am available the odd Sunday. I'm not sure what you mean by 'travel', but I stick to about an hours drive from Mississauga. I don't do calibration 'tours' like some of the others do.

JohnnyG, do you/would you do the services on a tv other than Panasonic/Toshiba? (for those who would stray from the flock?)

P.S. Sony 57" 16/9 was going for 3700 CDN before taxes at the Sony Store in WPG, is this a valid price for a new set, or would these be re-furbs?

The list on the Sony KP57HW40 (if that's the one) is $4,999 and Sony does usually drop that much below street so sounds like a deal.

Here's the ws list with MSRP's

My experience with sets other than Toshiba & Panasonic is limited. Things like a full geometry correction would not be possible since I don't have the dimension of the convergence grid to make an overlay (mind you, most calibrators don't do this anyway). Grey scale, interior/lens cleaning and focusing would not be a problem, but other TV-specific tweaks would be largely unknown by me.

If you're after a textbook ISF calibration, I can certainly handle that. If you're looking for tweaks specific to your model though, I'd recommend looking for someone with that experience.

Johnny, how much do you charge for ISF calibration of a Toshiba TW40X81 HDTV? And would you be willing to come up to Orangeville to do one?

I've had the TV for about eighteen months, but times have been a bit tough with all the layoffs in the auto industry, so I've held off. But I think I'll do it anyways. And the sooner the better.

Norm

NormL, please email me privately about this (jgolitsis@nbtelectronics.com). Orangeville isn't a problem (it's a lovely Sunday drive!).
