Hello.

Is there any way to change the channel of the pop up PIP window or can it only be done following a 'swap?'

Thank you.

You can change the channel in the pip window: http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?p=378260&highlight=channel+pip#post378260

Well obviously I didn't know what I was talking about. My question is, though, why doesn't Bell let their customers know when they add a new feature like this? Many 9200 owners do not follow this forum and would only find out by pressing the wrong buttons by mistake.

jumpy27---this issue has been brought up a number of times. Evu certainly has the ability to advise its subscribers of changes following a download. Only reason that I can think of why it is not done is to reduce or eliminate any liability if something really screws up the receivers. As a point of interest is any notification given to Dish subscribers in the U.S. other than through various discussion sites. And if notice is not given how do these various sites find out? Maybe the information is available on the barker channel dealing with how to use your receiver. Have not watched it in some time as it takes a long time to go through everything.

I didn't know about that feature. Is there any way to get the audio of the PIP window?

I can't do this with my 9200...

I open a PIP window - Then hit browse - Then select a channel from the list - Then hit the PIP button.. Nothing happens.. The browse display remains on the screen.

I'm wondering if there is a fault with my 9200, or if they changed things in the software so this feature doesn't work anymore since the info in that link was posted (May 2006)..... Has anyone else managed to do this?

Then select a channel from the listWhat do you mean by list? There is only one channel displayed when you hit BROWSE (i.e. the right button)
Are you pressing GUIDE?

That method worked for me. I wish there was a way to swap the audio between the main picture and the PIP. The only TV I have ever seen to have this ability is a 1992 model Panasonic GAOO 27"-31".

Really? I've never used a TV with PIP that couldn't swap the audio. Mine was a Panasonic, of the other two I used regularly, one was a Sony and the other another major Japanese brand (I can't remember if it was JVC, Toshiba, or Hitachi).

I repair TV's for a living and the only one I have seen with this feature is the Panasonic. But everyone's experience is different.

Ahh.. Yes.. I was trying to do it from the guide, not browse... Thanks :)

I may have came across a bug in 150 firmware. In picture beside picture mode, I was able to get the audio playing from the video on the right side of the screen. This was done in single mode.
1. Start playing something recorded on the PVR.
2. Press stop
3. Press view
4. Press swap before the image appears back on the screen.
Now you will have a blank screen with the audio playing from the second tuner but the info shows for what is on the channel on tuner 1. Pressing position will now bring up picture beside picture with the audio playing from the video on the right side of the screen. Pressing swap again brings the video back to the left to match the audio.
