00.37 was a maintenance release for new flash memory to go along with 00.CE for the 530.

Just outside of Winnipeg. I've had my 505 updated for a week now...I took the $99 upgrade from *Choice, having had a DSR500 for years. New menu is very nice. Still only 3-4 days in the advanced menu though. :D

Just checked and my 505 is now targeted,so it looks like tonight will be the night.

I'm on the west coast and no target upgrade yet.

if you have the 00.37 code does that mean you will be one of the last to be updated to E0? Seeing that 00.37 is probally the newest of the old codes on a 505.

I would say yes. I have the 00.37 HD upgrade unit still waiting. But, they are into the 505a's as mine received EO last night.

BTW, it occurs to me to wonder how we went from 0.37 to E0. What happened to all the version in between? :o

They ended up in the bit bucket.
Actually a lot were skipped as they try to bring the SAME code versions to all the units.

Major code releases increment by 4 hex with a minor/maintenance or internal/engineering release using the digits in between.

If the release candidate doesn't pass a quality review, they go back and try again.

Got the new guide today on my 530 in Vancouver.

Both the 530 and the 505 finally received the update last night. Live in the lower mainland.

I've had the new code on the 505 & 530 for 3 days now. Looks good!
