Do anyone know any stores in GTA have this unit on display in the GTA?

Any one bought a set and can provide their comments on this unit?
TIA

I believe Trutone Electronics in Mississauga has the unit. My brother in law is setting up his HT and this is the set he is looking at.

According to Samsung the 89 Series employ all the same standard features and size offerings of the 87 Series.

The 89 Series boasts advanced features including three HDMI 1.3 connections with CEC functionality, Bluetooth capability and single-tuner Picture in Picture (PIP). The HL-T5089S, HL-T5689S and HL-T6189S will retail at $2,499 (MSRP), $2,799 (MSRP) and $3,299 (MSRP) .

In other words, check out the Samsung 87 Series thread (http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=58007) for more comments since the sets are almost the same.

Any updates on places to in the GTA to check out the HLT6189 and/or who has the best price? Thinking about upgrading from my current Samsung DLP and this looks like the best of the bunch right now.

Leons does sell this model and have it on display. Brick only sell the 87 series.

Also check Samsung canada;s website for the dealers.

Thanks for the info, looks like the HLT5689/6189 are both on sale right now as well, might have to pop out to Leon's tomorrow to check them out (and hopefully buy one).

I looked at the 5689 at Leons a couple of days ago and was kind of disappointed with the standard definition that was being displayed .In fairness ,all sets in the store were poor,so I assumed there was a problem with the general feed (bev). They had no other source other than a blu-ray which was outstanding, but 70% of my viewing is SD, hence the concern

Pricing was the same as everywhere else (BB) plus $100 upcharge for the 89 over the 87(including delivery).I didn't buy because of the return policy ( or lack of one).Bearing in mind my concern with SD, I asked if I was unhappy with the set , could I return it ? I was told ,once it's out the box and plugged in, the set becomes Samsung's problem thereafter.

I was told that the 89 series is carried by East Hamilton Radio and this was confirmed by telephone.I do not know their return policy on television but do know they have a 10 day EXCHANGE policy on audio equipment and I know they will match price. I am heading there next.

The $100 difference increases significantly when you consider that leon's doesn't negotiate, but FS/BB do. I got the 6187 for $20 than the 5687 store price by negotiating.
