As a big fan, I was saddened to hear that CBC Radio One's Andy Barrie, host of 'Metro Morning' has announced he has been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease.
Barrie, who is 62, has confirmed the disease is in the early stages and is presently affecting only his walking, "shuffling gait", and his handwriting. Barrie who has been doing 'Metro Morning' for twelve years plans to go for three more years.
Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disease with the rate of progression varying with each patient.
