I was never a fan of Jean Chretien and his liberal cronies but one politician in the liberal party who IMHO served with integrity and knew what he was talking about was Bill Graham.

I think he was well respected by members of all parties which is saying a lot these days.

I certainly wish, although doubt, others will pay heed to his parting words.

Graham used his parting words to make a plea for the return of a civilized tone to parliamentary debate. "Surely we owe it to ourselves to disagree without being disagreeable," Graham said.

Count me in as a Bill Graham fan even though in no way could I ever support the Liberal Party.

Graham came across as genuine and had integrity that's sadly lacking in most politicians.

I thought he performed well as a defense minister. When he was in opposition or had other cabinet posts, he was an over the top hysteronic.
