Has anyone done the firmware update from Sony's website to 2.0. for Sony's BDP S1. Blu Ray Player?
Purchased my player 1 month ago from A & B Sound. Looked for the firmware version and can't find anything in the set up??

The update to 2.0 by using the link I provided works good. I did have one glitch where half way thru the update, the tray opens and you are supposed to leave it and it continues the download. That wasn't quite what happened. The machine shut off as well. After about 5 minutes of waiting I turned the machine on. The disc closed and it continued the download and updated it to 2.0.
That gives you Dolby TrueHD and Dobly Digital Plus, improved java ,as well as some other items.
