My warranty is up this December on the receiver I bought. However, I had to send it in and received a replacement 5900. Was wondering if the warranty on the replacement receiver is still the same time as the original receiver?

The warranty period should be a fixed time frame. i.e. if the warranty is dec 07 to dec 07, then it applies to those dates regardless of how many replacements you get during that period.

That's what I figured. Thought I'd ask anyways to make sure. Thanks for the help.

Warranty on a replacement is 3 months

Warranty on a new unit is 1 year

You have the option to take DISH CARE after that period for 6$/month, which will cover all your equipement and remote. When you suscribe you must keep it for a year, if you cancel before the year is up you would have a penalty of 35$. DISH CARE covers the equipement only, not technicienas cost. DISH CARE woudn't cover problem we were aware of prior to your suscription

Warranty on a replacement is 3 months

Warranty on a new unit is 1 year

That doesn't really address the issue asked.

The original unit (must be new) has a 1 year warranty, since months left. The unit was replaced but the original warranty period must remain in effect.

If you are saying that the replacement only has a 3 month warranty thus shortening the original warranty period by 3 months, then that is incorrect (and I suspect illegal - breach of contract).
