I am currently running TT 2.0 and have an older PC with a Radeon 9600 card that I wantto upgrade. I want to do it cheap as I will nead a new system to take advantage of HD so this is strictly for watching SD DVD's. The HTPC is connected DVI To HDMI to a Mitsubishi HD1000u. Output that I want is 1:1 pixel mapping at 720P (1280X720)

The two cards I am considering are a GEFORCE 6600GT Overclocked or a GEFORCE 7300LE

BFG Tech BFGW6600GTOCX GeForce 6600GT 128MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card for $39.95US after rebates

Or

MSI NX7300LE-TD128EH GeForce 7300LE 128MB 64-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16 Video Card for $41.00US

This system is used strictly as a DVD player. I don't use FFDShow and would like to get the best quality picture from TT.

I want to take advantage of Theater Tek's Nvidia card support but just don't know which to buy. I know the 6600GT would be faster for games but I just want the best upscaled picture quality.

Any suggestioins or advice appreciated

Ken.

I have a 6600GT that I use with TT and it's great. The 81.98 drivers for it are also very stable.

I seem to remember that the 7300s has some issues but I don't remember what they were.

The AGP 7600GS is also an excellent choice but will cost a bit more. I think it has nVidia Pure Video support for better video than either of the other 2 cards.
