Mine haven't gone up yet, im in greater Moncton. Restarted the modem (unplugged, waited a min, replugged).

I guess we all get it in june or something.

I just checked my speed test in Toronto on that and my Express rates were "spot on" (6.93, 505).

I've had the new speeds for about two weeks now, and I'm in the Nepean area of Ottawa.

Yes, Ontario will be done first then NB will get done time permitting ;)

Danster, you may have to expand the corner room to include speed increase conversations...

I called them and asked to push the new speed profile. The tech tried, and it didn't work. Said it could be that not everything is up yet, as it is being deployed gradually.

Anyone got the speed increase in Moncton NB? I don't have it yet. Will try to unplug-replug the modem later, after work, but i highly doubt that i'll be lucky....

We'll probably get it much later than the 21th of June... Just like homephone last year, a couple of weeks to months late. :(

Isn't it always the case? Sometimes, I feel like we are the blacksheep of the ROGERS family.....:o

Sure is the case and a bit ridiculous since most customers in Ontario had the new speeds since early May and here we are down to the wire and still nothing for most of N.B. but we still pay the same prices as them? I got fed up of waiting and called Rogers myself and told them to update my modems profile, the rep had me power cycle my modem and voila an instant 7000/512 connection. My point, if you want the increase now call them up and tell (not ask) them to push your account to the new specs and they will because chances are the 21st will come and go and we'd still see not see a thing.

Can i ask what city and when did you call? Because i called about 2 weeks ago and they pushed the new profile and it didnt go thru, said it was not "ready" in my area... :(

After reading Kramers post, I did just that...I called. The CSR made me unplug my modem until he'd come back. A minute later, he said to plug it back and that my profile would be updated...and it was. 8.14 m download instantly.
In fairness though, if it is in fact available everywhere in NB, why don't they just update everyones profile right now? :o

That is just twisted!!!

I should give a call and see if I can get it too...

I called again, and told them to do it, they didn't want to. They said it will be done before 3 days (21st of june). They told me that to check if it was updated, to unplug and replug...
Yeah ... Anyway... it could be worst, i could be on aliant ...

Problem is, Rogers always act like that with NB. If a 3rd competitive company would install with better service/speed/price, they would loose as much business as Aliant did.

Their product is not bad, the service is acceptable in general, but it could be much better compared to other services in Canada, and many other countries.

Oh and i just know that they won't update us "automatically" like he said. It will probably take what, another month or two

Oh and Danster, i think they are updating everyone, one by one, manually, and that, a few at a time here and there, to stress test the equipment.
Understandable, but they should just invest in equipment that would surely support the load of the customers they have now and 500% more, for future upgrades / more customers...

Anyway, im off to unplug/replug like he said, just in case!

Stefer, whom ever you talked to obviously didn't want to bother or is clueless. The fact is most areas in N.B. are already ready for the new speeds it's just a question of when and knowing Rogers' track record in N.B. you know it will be much later then the 21st.

You're right Aliant is worse which is why I switched to Rogers but man I wish we had Eastlink here or some other 3rd party provider, Ontario & Quebec are full of options for broadband we mainly have only 2.

Off topic - The reason we don't have more competition on the DSL side of NB is because Helliant won't share their lines with anyone.

Back on topic, it is a shame that we in NB are always getting the poopy end of the stick. I also am very sorry for NF...they get the rest of our poopy stick. I'm still waiting for the last HD channels so we can be on par with Ontario. I want my MPixHD damn it. :o

Well, I got a lazy person as she told me to just restart it but guess what, that did not work...
