Keep it incase your phone breaks..
That way, you wont b**ch to the store/sales rep that you need to buy an inexpensive phone and all the "no term" prices are rediculously high and your locked into a 3-year contract and the cancelation fee is $720.

True story, happened to my friend. He broke his phone, the lcd is smashed, and now he wants to buy a cheap phone to use, but the problem, telus doesnt sell anything cheap, he is now looking at asking his friends to buy their old phones off them..

son broke his phone too and was able to use my old one. btw - 911 still works (I think) on those phones so you could let someone use it only for that.
