I asked a dealer in Canada what the differences were, and this is what he had to say:

Epson 1080 Pro vs Home 1080

ISF day/night settings - can only be configured by an ISF certified
calibrator
3year vs 2year warranty
black casing vs white
ceiling bracket and spare lamp

I was concerned that the lens was inferior, but so far it looks like it's essentially identical.
