This is the info that is on my box at this time:

S/W Ver: 21.03-1226-0

Firmware: 08.12

Hope that this helps you to help me.

Firmware: 08.12

Interesting... My 6200 is at 08.14.

The s/w is the same version as the 6208 boxes (Give or take a sub-version number)

Informationally, my 6208 is at firmware 08.14 as well.

I don't really know, but I do like this guide a lot better than the tan guide. I am really not sure why it has happened but it is still that way even as I write this message.

One more interesting note. If I hit the rec button on my remote the screen will indicate that it is recording, but you and I and everyone else here knows that the 6200 does not have a harddrive. So from that I can assume that Rogers think that my 6200 is really a 621x?

Some morning I expect to wake up and find the tan guide again but until then I will enjoy it while i can.

Well, I am hoping that yours is the rule and that I will soon get the same happy treatment.

Moreso, I am hoping that if they are doing things to the 6200 software, that it will stabilize that last little bit of issues with using the firewire port.

Well if something should change over the weekend or in a few days from now I will let everyone know. Have a great weekend everyone!

The sad fact of the matter is all of the guides in Atlantic are horrendous - they are the worst I have seen anywhere in NA, including Comcast, ATT digital, etc.

It really depresses me because I am a software engineer and I know for afact how east this stuff woudl be to make better, it's probably about 20 man-hours of work tops. All they need to do to improve it vastly is:

a) Get rid of ads on left and top. No one cares about them. No one clicks them except by accident. 75+% of the time they are empty fillers anyway. Can they really be making any revenue from them?

b) Use extra space to make guide actually take up full screen

c) Use extra space to allow 4 1/2 hour timeslots on at once

d) Allow user to go BACK through guide to at least previous hour so they can see what show they are currently on if it is 4:55

These four dimple steps would make the guide 100% better. It still wouldn't be good as ON cause it wouldn't have the live show in the corner, but they could go in small steps!

Is your box on a different theme? I get the impression that your colors are just on a different look but might still have the same tan guideline.

Well, unfortunately, I am too impatient. I am headed off to swap up to a 6208 as I type.

As for the guide setting Danster, the tan guide only has tan. I just doublechecked my 6200 before I disconnected it. Oh well. :(

Nope and its weird too. Why me? I really don't want to call it in as it all works, but it only would confuse whoever I would talk to. We know what it is doing so I guess I go with the flo. MY 6200 looks like a 6208 but does not act like a 6208 (no harddrive) but it thinks it has one due to the software. oh well.

Very wierd indeed.

I have now had my 6208 hooked up for a couple hours and just like my other setup, it is now 100% for channel changed via firewire.

I doubt we will ever know, but it would be nice to know what the specific difference between the 6208 and the 6200 is that causes the firewire channel changes on one to not be so nice and the other is perfect.

Well I'm baffled. We have mutant machines in the province!!! Speaking of mutant, here's one for you guys. I have nothing recorded on my PVR. I'll record the HDNet test pattern on Sunday for 10 minutes. Guess what? Those 10 minutes will eat up 10% of my disk space. No other program will do such a thing to the PVR, just those 10 minutes on HDNet.

I have 2 6208 and only this one is goofing off like that. I'm afraid to exchange it for something else and get a dual tuner by accident....:o

We could only be so lucky!!!
