My 2700 STB Remote Control is not working properly anymore. I know it's an ancient receiver and I should probably think about just replacing it...

I called Bell World and 1-888-SKYDISH today and they told me that a replacement remote control will cost $39.95. I thought that was crazy, especially when a new receiver can be bought for $99.95.

Does anyone know where I can get new/refurbished BXVU 2700 remotes for cheaper than $39.95?

Alternatively, are Universal Remote Controls compatible with BXVU Receivers or is the technology proprietary?

Like this for instance:

Or is there one or two in particular that work best with BXVU? You would need to have a remote with a "guide" button and a "select" button...

Check the remotes in this thread. They will work with a 2700 too. I can't say enough good things about OneForAll remotes.
