First timer to this great website!

I am looking to buy a cell phone. I need to insight as to who/what to go with. I don't want a 2-3 yr plan. Free weekends/weeknights would be cool. Don't plan on using much. My wife is 6 mo's pregnant and that is the primary reason for me right now. The pay as you go is ok but would prefer a monthly plan if there is such a thing. My wife has a Roger's phone and is eligable for an upgrade in May. So i think roger's would be the way to go i reckon? Do they also offer free calling within the Roger's network?

I know it's a lot of questions but any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers and Happy Easter everyone!

First: take a look at the phones that any of the providers offer and see which one your wife will like.

Two: look at all of the available rate plans and see which will accomodate your wifes needs. (make sure you read the fine print!)

My opinion: Bell or Rogers have reliable networks, so pick one that you like and are most comfortable with!

My wife has one...it's me that's looking. It only makes sense to go with rogers if her phone is with rogers as well.

Thanks again

When it comes to buying a phone, the more bells and whistle's it has the more expensive it becomes. So what that said, go to any of the dealers and make sure you are happy with the phone as you are going to have this phone for a while until your next upgrade. It will pretty much depend on your preferrence as to which phone you will choose.
