The do-it-yourself operating system Linux hasn’t exactly conquered the computer desktop, yet its advocates have set their sights on a bigger target: the TV set.
Or, if you start poking for motives, maybe they’re seeking a target that’s a bit more elusive.
“I’m pretty sure I could have done it myself, but it’s the community I like,” said Dave Rowe of New Hampton, gesturing to a roomful of fellow MythTV hobbyists gathered in Concord on Saturday. “I enjoy getting together with people who think like I do.”
