just got the tv and tried the ps3 via the sony hdmi cable and got a blank screen. the ps3 works with the scart cable on the tv.

any ideas as to why it is not working....need help

I know it's a stupid question (but people have missed it in the past) but did you switch the input to HDMI1 with the tv remote? Or perhaps you plugged it into HDMI 2?

when i got my ps3 i had the same problem...

i had to use the regular RCA cables to connect, and then switch my output in the "settings" list to HDMI....

i think there's something to do with holding the power down for 5 seconds that should auto send the signal out via HDMI, as well.... like, from OFF, hold the power down until it beeps a couple times, takes 3-5 seconds....

I have the same TV but 40". Mine works fine. If you are using the provided cable its HDMI to RCA so you aren't going to be on an HDMI input. Have you checked the other inputs?
