I wonder why it's taking so long for Apple to negociate rights with Canadian distributors for movies.
It's definitely NOT an incentive to get on board with Apple TV and with the prospect of a widescreen video iPod coming out in the next few months, it would seem logical they would push this to get people to upgrade.

Well they have to do the U.S. first.
Negotiations take a lot of time and money. Doing it faster takes more time and more money. At some point I'm sure Apple is going to say, "is it worth all the extra time and effort" for Canada
I'm not saying that is what Apple is saying but I wouldn't be surprised!

I read an article in the Globe a few weeks ago that spoke about the CBC being in negotiations with iTunes to provide content in the Music Store.
This would seem to indicate that it is coming eventually.
We can hope.
