There is also a package called VirtualBox which you can use to run a complete Windows (XP/Vista/2000/etc) system in a virtual environment. Depending on what you want to do, that would be a good alternative. It's similar to VMWare, but free, and in my opinion much easier to use.

VMware Server and VMware Player are also free (as in beer).

Certain versions of it are, but none of the ones I've tried were very easy to setup and use. Certainly not as easy as VirtualBox.

VirtualBox shows that it supports OS/2 3, 4 and 4.5, but I haven't tried it myself.

noah12, you don't need DVD Decrypter on Linux. You can search to find several Linux apps that do that for free. Is that the only Windows app you're worried about?

I have installed seven PCLinuxOS systems. My wife is using it on her laptop, and is not having any problems. My home computer and several at work, are running great. It is a very good distro for people moving from WinXXX.
