Does anybody use the One For All 8 (w/RF module)? I noticed the local Zellers has them for $90 and it looks like a decent remote and the RF extender is exactly what I need.

Make sure it's the latest model which is URC9911. The regular price of this unit is $89.99, so there's no big savings at Zellers. Jethrogoss posted a bit of a review of the identical (but with no RF) URC8911 a week or so ago. Try doing a search.

As JohnnyG indicated, I did just by the 8911. I'm using it to control a BEV5100, SA3100, Toshiba 50H82, Sony VCR, Panasonic RP62 DVD, and Panasonic SA HE200 reciever. I've been able to use the learning keys and macros to make this setup a lot easier to use, and haven't found a code this remote wouldn't learn. The macros are the real lifesaver for switching between modes, setting picture size, switching reciever and tv inputs, all with 1 button press.

The biggest drawback? The navigation circle with the select key in the centre is very stiff, and I've often had to click the button again to get it to work. I think part of that is that it is so stiff it rebounds back before there's a long enough signal sent. This is slowly starting to work in better. I'm also right on the edge wrt to the learning keys - one or two more would exceed the memory limit of the unit.

I actually considered the RF version as well just because I could position it in a better line with the components in my cabinet but decided against it just on the clutter added. Still, it might be just the trick if I ran a set of B speakers out to the deck...
