Starting February 1,2007 Novus now provides 19 HD channels with the latest additions being HDNET, Showcase HD and National Geographic HD.

New HD packages are availble.

Anybody out there have any problems with their Novus HD signal?

Here are my issues:

- persistnet moving white stuff in a horizontal line at the top of the screen. Looks like it could be some kind of counter scrunched up, or else maybe just static

- every so often the image just freezes. Typically audio still works

- the signal is sometimes just crap. Image quality for the superbowl was pretty much garbage. Was tempted to go into the other room and just watch it on my CRT

Thoughts?

Mine is all OK except I do occasionally get an video/audio glitch on Global and FOX during payback.

Superbowl was fine with no issues. I watched it on CBSE

Just in the last couple of days the audion on ShowcaseHD was garbled.

Really SB was fine? Really nice and clear?

I swear I had weird blockiness all over the place.

The persistnet moving white stuff in a horizontal line at the top of the screen happened to me too. It was because of the hdmi connection from the DCT to my TV. I didn't see the line if I connected through the component video cable. In anycase I got Novus to exchange the box and the problem went away.

If you are having signal issues just get them to do a service call for you. They could probably schedule the next day. I know mine was done on the same day I phoned in. Which building are in?

I heard Movie Central 2 HD maybe coming to Novus soon according to their customer service people.

Honestly though, how perfect would you folks say your signal is? I'm asking because often even the SD signal frm Novus was bad when I had their basic(non-digital) service. I had the imporession that they were just piping in starchoice satelite feeds... To the point where when the weather was bad the signal would get worse.

But maybe I'm just picky.

Well, I just bought one of them spanky new Sharp Aquos 1080p TeeVees. So there should be just about nothing that it wont do well.

Dave Lettermans couch looked weirdly shimmery last night though.

Maybe I'm just losing it.
