The purpose of this thread is for Digital Home members to review and relay their experience with The Brick's online store.

This is NOT a discussion thread so please limit yourself to one post which includes your review.

We welcome the input and opinions of all members whether they are good or bad, however, please note that this thread is NOT for rants. Whether you had a good or bad experience with this vendor we want to hear about it but in an OBJECTIVE manner.

If you post a rant or childish comments like, these guys "suck" or they're all a "bunch of idiots", then your comments will be considered trolling and your post will be deleted.

When you post, please try to include the following information:

What product or service you purchased.
Approximate timeframe you ordered the product
What location you dealt with if it’s a company with many stores or service locations
Your overall level of satisfaction
If you had a positive experience, please explain what made it such a positive experience.
If you had a negative experience, please read our guidelines below.

Guidelines for Posting Negative Reviews

The truth is no retailer or service provider is perfect and occasionally even the best companies can disappoint. Our experience is that good companies have problems but they typically make every reasonable effort to resolve problems.

If you had a problem and are posting a negative review, then please note what efforts you made to resolve the problem and the feedback you received. If you think the efforts to resolve the problem were NOT reasonable then please explain why. Saying you phoned up and talked to some idiot, suggests the problem may lie with the consumer and NOT the company!

No posting URLS or Directs to Competitors will be deleted

Posts containing URL's to competitors or posts saying gee you should have shopped at this retailer will be considered spam and deleted.

We want opinions, NOT sales pitches or spam!

Saleswoman sold me a RCA DLP floor model for what she said was a floor model discount. The stock person seemed to be pissed off that he had to take it to the back just to save it for me and prevent anyone else from trying it out. Also she did not say the product could not be returned if I was not satisfied, but then I saw it on the bill.

When I got home and looked online, she had given me the discounted price for a new model. My wife and I were livid! We went back and spoke with the manager who said he would give us a discount, but we also got a lower price at Visions and got a full refund from The Brick.

In the end, went for a Toshiba DLP at Visions which had it's own problems, but I will never go back to The Brick after the 'deal' that I got.

Purchased quite a few things from them in the past (Washer/Dryer, sofa, entertainment unit, bar). And have no complaints. Price matched on items we found elsewhere cheaper, good delivery people, and great website for perusing....

And to poster above. If you find a better price or there's an error, they corrected it and will also pricematch (what more can they do), so whats the problem?

I have made major electronic & related purchases from The Brick, including: a 51" RPTV, 50" Plasma, tv-stand, and two glider-rockers to watch the last named tv. Why do I shop there? Brand-name products, competitive pricing, prompt & early-am delivery, and their great 90-day price-protection policy on products purchased (which I have used and there's never been one single issue or hassle with them in doing so -- every "claim" on my part has been handled quickly, with a prompt refund to my cc acc't).
So far very good ..... I hope the relationship continues.

Recently purchased a new 46" Sony Bravia Home Theater system for xmas gift. Dan the salesman showed me the Sony Bravia in the TV display room. Very impressed with the high definition 1080P picture, he then advised me that the model is on sale in a home theater package. Asked him is the picture high defintion like that one. He aswered yes. Made the deal. On Xmas a few days later, took it out from box and tried. Picture wasn't high definition 1080P. Checked model number against sales invoice and then specifications. KDL46S3000 IS 720 RES not 1080P. After the Xmas days off, called theBrick where I bought it in Sault Ste Marie Ontario, Explained the "Bait & Switch". Ralph the manager stated once you open it you bought it even if the sound package is still unopened and you offer to re-pack the TV. Sent an email complaining to Ontario Head Office. Haven't had a response yet. A very bad experience. ANYONE buying thebrick.. do not listen to and believe the sales guy. He's trying to land the catch and make his commision. Moral of this story, Check everything he says out with specification so you to can avoid a $3,000 run-around.

I, also had a horror story from the Brick. Keep fighting it all the way to the top. I did and finally my situation was resolved to my satisfaction. It took 3 months.
