do u like it?

There are gamers on my friend's list who say it's bad, and other's say it works for them.

I'm thinking about trying it out via Futureshop 's 30 day return policy and testing it out for myself. It costs about as much as a new 360 title.

I love it...No more fighting with wires when I put the controller down for a moment...Mine works just great!!!

Mine works great, no issues yet. Only thing is getting it to fit comfortably over the ear.

If you do pick one up, please post your opinion of it...I'm also considering the upgrade. I'm not impressed with the headset that came with the 360...I'm not really bothered by the wires...I just think it was built with 2 cents worth of materials.

I like mine, but it does occasionally drop out on me. Sound quality is much better, though. Every once in a while it seems to pick up interference--one guy that I frequently play with has it and his sometimes keeps transmitting an annoying feedback-y sound which is usually cured by cycling the power (on the headset).

Still much better than the cheap standard headset!

I had bought one the day it came out and had to return it. Not only did it constantly drop out but I was one of the people that had the issue where my headset would send buzzing noise to everyone but myself in online games.

I really wanted it to work so I could be wireless but in my case it just wasn't worth pissing people off online every 10-20 minutes. I could never narrow down what was causing the issue and at the time xbox support was no help.

This might be a stupid question, but what kind of batteries does it run on? Does it come with a recharger?

Battery is built in to it, can't be replaced. Comes with charger.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread to see how the wireless head sets are working for people that bought them a couple years ago and also for anyone who has recently bought one.

I did buy a set near launch and as mentioned above, had all the issues that came with them. I'm hearing now that for the most part the issues are cleared up.

Is that the case with you folks? My birthday is next week and I'd really like to go wireless with the xbox mic. The new PS3 bluetooth one has me spoiled now...

thanks

I have one which works great, but I don't use it.

My issue with it is the lack of a mute feature on the headset. I'm sure people don't want to hear my wife asking me to take out the garbage while I'm playing.

I own two of them; I keep one fully charged and ready to go 'cause invariably it always runs out of power right in the middle of a game :)

I hate wires as well and this is a neat solution, it works well and I don't notice I'm wearing it while I play. It has a super long range too; I can get at least 15m away before it starts to fade out.

To mute the headset briefly press the power button, you should then hear two beeps. You unmute it by simply pressing the power button again, this time you will hear two slightly different beeps.

I've had one for a year now and like it quite a bit.....sounds way better than the El Cheapo set that comes with the XBOX. I've never had any feedback or other odd noise complaints either from other players.

It's been a while since I tried using hte headphone, but doesn't it take a few seconds to do that? Or does it instantly mute and unmte once you press the power button?
