No HD for 1/4 of the Grand Slams o Tennis? Brutal. Every single hot wife in the crowd deserves full HD.

I believe it is being broadcast 16:9 SD, but TSN isnt picking up that feed. I dont even think ESPN(2) is picking up that feed either.

That sucks. Hopefully they pik up the slack for Wimbeldon and US Open then. Tennis is pretty damn sweet in HD.

Tennis is probably the international sport that has the least HD besides Formula 1 (none). It's very sad really as Australia is in the #3 position for HD Content (North America is #1 followed by Japan at #2).

ONLY the US Open gets any HD. The Australian open, French Open and Wimbledon get no HD whatsoever. I seriously doubt anything will change this year as most of Europe was introduced to HD last summer during the World Cup and now that they have been exposed to HD and have seen the difference, i'm sure the format will gain popularity but the next big reasons for Europeans to buy an HDTV aren't coming until mid-2008: Euro 2008 (soccer) in June 2008 and the Summer Olympics in August 2008. I'm sure there will be a boom for HDTV for these events which will probably translate to HD Tennis in 2009 and hopefully Formula 1 as well.

Good news... TSN is showing the French Open in HD. I don't think it looks quite as clear at the US Open would, but it's certainly the best view we've ever had of this tournament.

On the odd time I happened to turn to TSN during the early matches, the French Open was in HD. Today for the exciting men's final that I'm recording, neither TSN nor NBC are broadcasting in HD - any idea why? Silly and frustrating...

The RDS feed, in glorious analogic 480i, is better IMO than the NBC/TSN feed in 1080i... This is quite weird.

Probable TSN was forced to carry NBC feed over whatever the other feed was. Although it was nice to see tennis in 16:9, the picture fade overs in earlier rounds I found quite distracting.
