Hi there..new to the board and just had a few easy ones for the experts! I'm a current Bell ExpressVu subscriber, looking at going back to Shaw with the 6416 DCT. I was just curious...does the 6416 have only one coaxial input? I believe it does, which is why I am not going with the Bell 9200 which requires 2 coax feeds (I can't run another line to where my TV is, although I have read the Bell can be installed with one line, a twin LNB and a splitter - I'll be damned though if Bell knows this!)...

Just seeing how people like th 6416, how it compares to the 9200, etc....thanks!

I can't exactly speak for a DCT 6416 as I have a DCT 6412. By all accounts though, the only difference between the two is hard drive size, so this should still be relevant. A 6412 does not require two coxial inputs. A single input is all that's required. I can't see a 6416 being any different. Hope that helps.

Yes, single coax in on the 6416, and I love the 6416. It not only has a bigger hard drive but a lot of the inherant problems people have with the 6412s have not happened on my 6416. I had four new 6412 phIII all within one month early last summer, all with loads of the same problems day in and day out that everyone writes on these forums. Shaw replaced it with the 6416. The 6416 is several months old now and I haven't looked back.
Sorry I have never had satalite, so I can't compare to other equipment.
