57, you may be right about the CC. I just know that I tried it when I first got my 3250HD (about 3 years ago) and it did not work on any of the HD channels (but worked on the SD channels). I have not tried since. So its quite possible that its been working for a while and I just didn't notice.

Some of the early HD channels/programmes didn't have CC. The CC (on HD) has worked for as long as I can remember - several years at least. See this post from 3 years ago.

Some of the early HD channels/programmes didn't have CCMaybe that's why I thought it wasn't working (although I could have sworn I read a thread somewhere, not necessarily here, where they were talking about how 3250HD did not support CC in HD). BTW, is it legal to have a channel without CC? Is it optional or are broadcasters forced to provide it.

I know its for the visually impaired, but I have to say that its a very useful feature specially if you are watching something at a low volume or even if you just want to know the name of a song they are playing in the show.

Actually, CC is for the hearing impaired.
