Hi..
I'm interested in looking at the Yamaha HTR5950B receiver at FS.
After reading alot of the posts here it seems that the overall recommendation is to stay away from HTIB and build the system in pieces and have a more flexible set up for the future. So I'm thinking about buying the receiver and just hooking up my to audio system speakers. I'll purchase the "real" home theatre in another few months. I currently just run audio through my power amp to get "bigger sound" and something better than the tv speakers.
I can't really afford to buy receiver and speakers so I figure lets start with the receiver and go from there.
Any opinons on this particular receiver? I like the fact it has 3 optical input since I have optical on my 6412 PIII and on my pioneer dvd.
Is there anything I need to be aware of when looking at receivers? any gotchas that I should avoid?
