My 1 year of free HD I got with my plasma TV is about to end and I have a couple of questions.

1. If I buy the 8300HD PVR, do I pay any other monthly fees besides Digital services Fee ($2.99)?

2. Connected to Question #1, i there any fee for the HD channels themselves or do you only pay for the box rental?

3. Do I get most/all of the HD channels if I buy with the PVR?

2. If you want the "HD Pak" (timeshifts, TSN, Discovery, HDNet) you will need to pay $6.

I have a question similar to freestyle's.

Presently, I have a digital box and a HD PVR (8000HD to be exact). I don't pay rentals for these boxes because they are replacement for my satellite receiver when I switched to Rogers.

Now I'm thinking of buying a 8300HD PVR. To activate this box, do I need to subscribe to another package? Or can I just plug this thing and it should work?

You need to call Rogers to activate the STB, however, whatever you're receiving on the other STBs will (should) be available on this (new) STB if they activate it properly.
