How come the survey shows over 50 HD DVD movies on your vote????



I have 6 BD. I am in a small town and we have only a single WM store for all HD discs. BD is already taking 2 more slots on the shelves than HD DVD which was 50-50 3 weeks ago! Cannot get any kind anyway from local video rental shops as they are afraid to invest.

I hadn't voted until now. When I posted the poll was not up so that was someone else.

When I got my A-1 about six weeks ago, I vowed to be a little more discriminating about my HD-DVD purchases. But 12 discs in, I'm so hungry for content, I'm finding myself in a constant battle to resist making purchases based upon reviews for great PQ. I really wish my local BB or Rogers would hurry up and start stocking HD discs!

Seven HD-DVD discs, no BD (yet). Content providers are very limited where I live, so I've been very starved for content ever since getting a new HDTV set several weeks ago. Currently saving up for a Playstation 3 and am half way there. Whatever it takes, just so long as I have my 1080p fix. ;)

18 HD-DVDs so far but the collection is getting bigger quickly :D

Today, exactly 78 HD-DVDs and 27 Blu-rays. :D

But there are 3 HD-DVDs and 2 Blu-rays in transit from Amazon in the mail... So my collections are growing almost every day! :o

I have 2 blu-ray and 0 hd DVD but that will change in 2007!

I was bored and on holidays. I'll be repeating the poll in another 3 months.

Should be interesting to see how things change in 3 months. CES 2007 should be interesting.

In case anybody is wondering, I'm the 50+ HD DVD guy, but that wasn't hard to figure out.

Alright the poll is asking about the number of HD movies we have.

So to be specific, I have 29 HD movies. But I also have 6 HD concerts, 1 HD documentary and 1 HD demo. Fortunately, that still puts me in the HD DVD 25-50 / Blu-Ray 0 category.

So far 11 HD-DVD movies, zero BLU-RAY; on a side note, here in Moose Jaw, our local WM started with an even number of each format; are now almost sold out of HD-DVD and have yet to sell a single BLU-RAY :P

2 more yesterday:

Unforgiven: with Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman and Gene Hackman. My best HD DVD to date... 4 Oscars. Very well done movie. And PQ is simply wonderful.

Chronos: My first HD DVD with DTS-HD sound. Would have liked more than synthesizer music to appreciate. But the surround effects are good. There's a "ROM" selection in the menu... I believe if I had a RJ-45 cable connected to my cable modem (some 50' away), I would have activated an interactive menu to make use of other features. Are there other movies released for DTS-HD and online interaction?

I got 18 sd-dvd and thanks to my Xbox 360 HDdvd drive, I got 3 HD-dvds so far. (King Kong, Full Metal Jacket and Miami Vice). Sorry, no Blurays here.
