PrimeBane: You should get an email the day you call with your ticket number. Then you should get the empty box within 2 weeks after that (estimate, some come faster). Once you ship it back, you get another email stating they shipped your replacement unit back with a tracking number. I got my email the day after I sent my unit in.

Thanks Drainc... I got the ticket number so I guess now I wait.

wow! Purolator tried to deliver the box today. 6 days since reported isn't too bad considering some of the other horror stories I've read.

Of course the trick now will be picking the coffin up from whatever depot they leave it at.

Well, finally got my "replace" x360, but event MS can not track the number that they send out ... anyway, this x360 is brand new with manufacture date of 04-01-2007 ... so that said that i will have guaranties until 04-01-2008 :)

Not bad to have a 2005 x360 and got FREE extended warranty for 2 more years :)

That's awesome htmtl! It give me hope that they'll send me a new one too. :)

Now if only I can convince them to toss in an Elite instead. :D

Well after being the "proud" owner of an xbox360 Eilte for two weeks, I'm now on my second machine. Not sure how this happened, but when I went to switch between games the DVD drive began making grinding noises and refused to read any discs.

suspecting it might be a heat problem (it wasn't that warm really) I left it off for the night and tried it the next morning w/o any luck. Fortunately I was still within the 30 day exchange limit with Bestbuy and was able to get a new one w/o any hassles. The guy at BB said he had already seen one with a similar problem. Another guy at the front door mentioned him and his brother were both on their 3rd system. I like my 360, but I wondering how long this system is really going to last. Seems my PS2 and XBOX1 were built like a rock!

Sadly, you'll probably be needing it...

Well, I now am sending in a unit for the 3rd time. This unit ran great until this weekend-- it locked up and the ring of death appeared. I don't heavily use the 360 and its in the open in a cool room.

I was thinking of upgrading to the Elite, but it sounds like they have issues as well.

I shipped mine back Tuesday and MS received it this morning... I'm keeping my fingers crossed they ship out a replacement today.

I'm going through some serious game and HD movie withdrawal here... I've actually had the urge to buy a PS3! ;)

I still haven't gotten my box. The MS CSR guy said it wasn't even shipped out until Tuesday.

That is ok.

Tracking shows the package is in town late tonight so I will be getting it hopefully on Monday.

The package was scheduled to be delivered today but I was not home as I was working. They called just as I was about to go into my door. I brought my 360 and the piece of paper with my 360 Fix Reference number and 360 Serial Number. I packed it in the car and gave it back to Purolator and it was shipped. Tracking says it has left Thunder Bay already.

My Purolator driver showed up at my place yesterday holding a big box, and an envelope (for me). I asked him if the big box was for me, and he commented that it was another X-Box that was messed up. He said he handles 25 of them a week! He's just responsible for a small section of downtown Edmonton, so I was shocked that he would have 25 a week.

Well I just made the call to send back my second console with the flashing red lights. So far my 360's have an average life span of about 3 months. Thinking about not even opening the box when I get my refurb and just selling the damn thing on ebay.

I talked to someone at our local Purolator outlet as I was dropping off my third unit. They said that they get at least 20 per week. Purolator should just keep the return boxes on hand and save some time.

Got mine back yesterday morning. Turn around time to Calgary for the entire process was about 3 weeks.

The new system is working fine so far, but I am a little disappointed that it's and older unit (Sept 05).

And they included a free month of Live GOLD. :)

It was nice to finally play a little Halo 3 beta with my buddies, even if we did get our butts kicked.

Got mine today. They replaced the console. As already said, they gave a free month gold online, this is good for already gold members too so that they get back the month or so they missed.

For anyone who bought a Store Warranty, they must go to the store with their new serial number to get it changed on their account.

How can you tell when your 360 was made??

The date is on the back above the serial number.
