I've had my 360 RRoD twice now and each time its recovered so I'm thinking of sending it in but I've owned it now for 4 years or so. I'm wondering if anyone knows if they will still fix it even though I've had it for that long. The internal fan is much quieter now then it was before so that could be why it maybe on the verge of dieing completely.

They would repair it, but charge you for it. And send you back a refurb. IMO you'd be better off getting a new Arcade unit. Lower power consumption and HDMI too.

Mixar69, Dioneo may be right, but I would still check it with MS customer support. If they say they will charge for repairs, you're better off getting a new one. My guess is there is a decent chance they won't charge for repairs.

I just received back a replacement Xbox 360 from repairs today from Purolator. That is record time, I shipped it via UPS on Monday morning.
The manufactured date on it is Feb 17, 2010, and the box doesn't indicate much of the type of repair console I got back (unlike the last one that said OPUS).
I believe that my console was technically out of warranty, my last repair console came back 1 1/2 years ago.
