markl 2006-12-06, 05:41 PM If you have an HD source you may want to turn the DNR off as it can add artifacts. I'd laos probably go with a lower contrast 60-65

Ya, I have been playing with about 60-80, for some reason, I like it a little brighter, so, hence the higher contrast setting

badass11 2006-12-07, 01:35 PM Thank you all,
Will play with it tonight, hopefully I have enough time when I get home.
Cheers!!!!
givenchy314 2006-12-09, 03:18 PM I just saw it at Costco and it looks pretty good! Nice looking, and a great price...But, how does it handles video games? Is the refresh rate fast enough on this unit? As somone already mentioned before, the 3 HDMI ports was surprising for a $999 LCD...

Anything below 12ms will handle games/fast motion perfectly fine.

Yes.
I have two LCD monitors in my house, one is older and its 12ms. I have a new 5ms LG monitor, and I can't tell the difference in fast motion video/games.

Nope, that wont work...the N3752w is VESA 200x400 mounting, and, is over 50lbs ish
Depends where you are, I bought my tilting mount for less than $80, incl tax from

good luck!!
markl 2006-12-12, 02:13 PM Anyone happy with the HDMI on the 3752? I just tried a DVI-HDMI cable from my Expressvu 6100 and I find it not nearly as good as via component, colors seem dull and washed out.

I thought that at first, cause I had it on 720p. As soon as I changed the 6100 to feed 1080i, twas a drastic change, then with the PQ tweaking, so much better...which is good, cause i wanted the component for my PS2 in 480p.
I think its a prob with the 6100 myself, and, adapting DVI to HDMI has to have its probs.
My HDMI to HDMI DVD player to tv setup is sweet on 720p.

Thanks, I'll give 1080i a try then and see. What tweaked settings are you using on the 3752?

markl 2006-12-12, 02:52 PM Thanks, seems 1080i lets me set the color and other settigns, unlike 720p which only gives brightness and contrast. I think it is how the 3752 is interpreting the input signal as it seems to think its VGA in 720P hdmi mode.

yes, it did that to me, again, I think that is the 6100's problem, not the TV...DVI is a bad choice for output...I shoulda got the 9200 PVR:confused:
luck11 2006-12-20, 10:40 PM A bit off topic, but hoping someone can help. Is there a VS code for the expressvu remote of a 6100? I just bought the VS N3752w for my parents, and they are using it with a 6100. Tried scanning for a code but had no luck.
So right now, they have to use the VS remote to power on the TV, and the Xvu remote for SAT. I could probably program the VS remote to control the 6100, but they in their mid-60's and are now used to the 6100 remote given they have had the 9200 for sometime and the remote is the same. They are not very technically inclined and to introduce a new remote will not help matters.
Thanks in advance.

I am looking for this code also. The reply that another poster got from Viewsonic is that they don't use universal remote control codes. Their solution was to buy a universal remote and program it in manually!
I really only need the power function to work off my 9200 remote. If I find something, I will post it for sure.
luck11 2006-12-21, 10:07 AM Gee, great response from VS. I too am only interested in the power on/off function.
I have also contacted Xvu to see if they have a code for the VS....I know...good luck. Anyway, it's a shot. I'll re-post once I hear back from them.
Cheers.
