Just came back from a Walmart where I live (suburbs).
I decided to go just for the hell of it (left my place at 7:53am and got there at 8:03am). They open at 8:00am and when I walked in a few minutes after 8, they where allready all gone and they had just received 6 units... that's it! Apparently more then 10 people waited since yesterday 4pm... poor suckers. So much for the 50 qty that Walmarts where supposed to receive. On the way back, I heard about a Best Buy in my area that received 30 some odd units but 50 people had lined up all night. It seems that everywhere, the quantities shipped don't match what the stores where expecting to receive. To bad for those who stood all night. Fortunately here, it was a very mild for the season... could have been a lot worst for those people.

Just got back, its 7:00am here. Left at 5:30am.
Went to superstore...sign said NO PS3 SHIPMENT RECIEVED, 2 people in line.
Went to londondrugs, 5 people camped outside with apparent 4 units for sale.
Went to Walmart, sign on door NO PS3's RECIVED, no lineup.
Went to futureshop, about 20 people outside, and apparent 16 units for sale.

What a joke. I guess i will try my luck later today and see if anyone else gets shipments in.

They said on the news this morning that there was a unit currently (at that time) going for $10K on Ebay. The highest I can find right now is about $7K. Spending two days in a line to make this kind of money is sound business.:p

Those really high bids are pretty suspect. For example the winner of the 10K machine had not won anything on Ebay since 2004. There will be a lot of false bids for sure. Kids (and adults) playing around. Over the next two days we should see a flood of units hit as folks that were lucky enough to get one... put them on Ebay.

I got one from BB online, but I have to pick it up in small town about 1 hour drive. I added it to my cart before 8:00AM, but can't check out, just finished 30 minutes ago.

that is weird, it sometimes says available for pick up but how can I tell WHERE it will be available for pick up? trial and error?

I got one added to my cart with it being available but I have been the last 30mins to proceed to the page. Will it stay in the cash that I have it when I move on?

Wait for the store confirmation. Chances are your order might bounce...

it's frustrating. said available for pick up but not at stores I selected. won't let me eit them though, fails when I try.

Yeah I suspect the pick up in store option ain't gonna work out for you. I'd really double and triple check that with the fine folks at BB. So we have lots of people here that participated in the DOS attack on BB?

I only tried the stores in ontario & not that far to me. I think their web site counted your cart in, the problem is the website can't show which store is availible. Be patient & try! I kept on doing it for 2 hours.

I wonder if the suits at BB thought selling 80 units of hardware at .001% profit margin was worth taking down their e-commerce site for?

I heard that BB & FS won't accept in store pickup for the PS3, no matter what the site says. I would be very surprised if you get an "order ready" email.

I really want one but it will be Blu-Ray only use. So I won't die if I don't get it but... WOuld be nice if I did.
