Amazingly, it is not moving very fast. There are still 201 right now. On the news this morning they said that the downtown BestBuy had 54 Wii's and they were all allocated to the people lining up since 3pm the day before with disappointed people at the end. Then the reporter noted that there were still PS3's available. Wow, the hype over PS3 has sure subsided.

It's been over an hour and they're not even half gone. Good for those consumers looking for one but not sure what it means for Sony.

And it doesn't help you in tracking down one of those "other" consoles....

well the major problem is a lot of them were being bought for gifts etc, now the earliest one can receive this would likely be after thursday next week. post closes half day today, starts again wednesday I believe. so in store or buying off of someone is the way to go if you want it for a gift or over the holidays.

At a time where a lot of people are at work or out last minute shopping, I'd say they've gone pretty quickly.

They went much quicker same time yesterday and lots of folks are home today early from work.

exactly like my point above, yesterday was the last day to guarentee you get it before xmas :) I told my friends to either get me PS3 games or BluRay movies for presents :) hopefully they dont all get me the same titles (didnt plan this through fully).

They went much quicker same time yesterday and lots of folks are home today early from work.
But how many of them are expecting the PS3 suddenly to become available? If it weren't for forums such as this one, I surely would not have known.

Still couldn't pull the trigger, though.

As much as I want one, it is too much for me to spend on a dust collector :)

Just picked one up at Best Buy on St. James St. in Winnipeg. They had a bunch just sitting on the shelf being ignored!

Yep, PS3's are arriving quite regularly now. I was in FS the other day and I saw someone walking to the front with a 60GB version. I asked one of the sales reps and he said they had over 30 in stock! I didn't bother picking one up since I'm happy with my 360 but it's good to see Sony is shipping them in larger numbers now!
