They had 63 60GB available when I checked. I flew through the order process like a bat out of hell only to have my credit card declined for some bizarre reason. I cleared 2 flights of steps in about 4.7 seconds to get my wife's card. Order was accepted and no e-mails saying they can't fulfill yet so it looks good :p

Kinda odd they declined my card but accepted my wife's on the same account. I think it's a conspiracy against me getting a PS3 but I bested em.

I was able to place an FS order for a PS3-60, (started when there were 41 units in stock), though by the time I had the information entered they were sold out again.

When I saved my order it showed as processed, but the order status was 'out of stock'. I decided to leave it and check back on it later - a couple of hours later it was showing 'in stock' on my order (status has remained 'sold out' for the product on the web site). According to FS, the 'in stock' status means the order will ship tomorrow.

Looks like I ended up with one - thanks to the poster with the heads up on the tracking website. That was one of the easier purchases I've made - it did all the work, I just waited for the call. It sure beats waiting outside in a line up for a few hours, or paying an exorbitant markup to a 'free market' extortionist ... :)

The EB games store I visited this afternoon got 6 units (I took the 3rd one), last week they got 3 only.
Looks like SONY's productivity was increased.
Next week should have more units arrive.:D

Was walking through ToyRUS looking for something else when I saw 3 20GB units on the shelf. The clerk said he just put them there 3 minutes ago so I grabbed one. :-D 20GB is fine with me as my house is wired with ethernet all over (so no need for WiFi) and the card reader I can get separately if I ever want it. Not sure at this point why a 60G drive is better than a 20G drive (not sure what the space is used for). I am not an avid gamer I got this mainly for the BR player...

So I have been refreshing Canda Post tracking my PS3 almost hourly. I sadly didn't upgrade my shipping when I ordered. Was in waaaay too big of a hurry.

So 7AM this morning it says the package is here in Barrie weeeeeeeeeeeeee. I check my mail, see a package is to be picked up and get seriously excited. Stop by FS and pick up a game and a couple Blu-Ray movies (Ice age 2 and Underworld 2) and head to the post office. Low and behold it's a box of gifts from my parents......Never so dissapointed about a Christmas gift in my entire life lol. :(

Oh well looks like Mon/Tues now.

So I placed my order earlier in the week when FS had them in stock, completed the order with several units still in stock. I chose regular shipping but the order has not shipped yet, which I thought was odd. I called yesterday and was told it'll ship on Monday. But today when I check the order status it shows the item out of stock, I'll be mighty pissed if it doesn't ship. Anyone have a similar experience, what's going on?

I find that curious as well. I ordered mine on December 13, after an alert from the tracking website that FS had stock on the 60GB unit. When I started the order they had 40+, but after placing the order it showed as 'Out of Stock'. That changed to 'In Stock' an hour or two later (on my order, not the website). According to FS that means that it will ship the next day, and sure enough late the next day it showed 'Shipped':

I ordered the upgraded shipping. The Canada Post site shows the following (delivery date Monday), which is in keeping with their stated shipping times between two regions (Mississauga to Calgary):

I was concerned as well when I saw the 'out of stock', and was pleased to see when it was updated. Strange that you had the reverse - sounds like they had a glitch in their online inventory/order processing system.

Perhaps they are doing their order processing on multiple application servers (not uncommon), or track other metrics like the time the order process was initiated. I see that Dezzpayne had the slot in between - an minute after you and a minute before me.

At least your order is in place, and it sounds like it will ship on Monday. Good luck, hope it goes through as promised.

Wal Mart in Moncton NB had 5 60 gig systems on Sunday Dec. 17 at around 11am.

Walmart in Ottawa (Bank and Hunt Club) had one yesterday as I was walking by. I quikly grabbed the service rep and told him to open the case and hand it over! And I was expecting to be disappointed! Picked up NHL, NBA and Ultimate superheroes games as well. I can't remember the last time my bill at Walmart was so high.

I hooked it up and started playing NHL - wow! This is my first game console and it's great experience with DD5.1!

Got the 60 GB PS3 from MicroPlay in Orleans, had my name on a waiting list, got the call yesterday, not sure how many they had.

Thing is, they are charging $699.99 for the unit vice $659.00 like every other store on the planet. The manager wasn't there so I picked it up anyway since the salesperson couldn't do anything with the price. I'm happy to get the PS3 but disappointed they are price gouging.

They had 6 60 GB units in the store.

I picked up one for a friend. Anybody who shows up in the morning when the store opens at 9:00 AM is GUARANTEED to get one.
