Anyone know where I could pick up a Silver Sensor in Nova Scotia ? or who might have the best deal on them in the Canadian section of the www.

J'ai finalement opté pour un Tvix 6220NP que j'ai commandé des USA chez MediaConcept. Je devrais le recevoir d'ici 2 semaines.

Merci pour votre aide

@bugmenot

The most expensive and biggest one:
http://www.kge.ca/35-118-315-product-4228hd-hdtv-uhf-eight-bay-antenna.html?start=1

If you can't pick up Tele Quebec with this, NOTHING will pick it up in your area. There are no returns at KGE for outdoor antennas btw.

Anyone know a good cable fishing company that you have used in the past?

Got an antenna in an attic and fishing it to ground from inside the house is just impossible with my skills :)

Don't want to go outside and back in again.

@Den_Bout

Two options:

1) Wait for the dollar to go high above par and order off of eBay. Even with customs + shipping, it was still cheaper than buying from Canadian online retailers (kind of sad, really)

2) Again, wait for the dollar to go up over par and drive down to Vermont and buy at a Walmart for $300 (this can be good in case you need to return it)

I went with option #1 at the dollar's peak and saved almost $100 over the forum sponsor when all was factored in

I'm looking for a place to buy "Liquid electrical tape" in Montreal.

Just to report back. I found Starbrite Liquid Electrical tape at Home-Hardware/Quincaillerie Hogg in NDG.

#91723536 $7.99

They don't stock it, but can order it and it takes about a week.

Good service from them. They called me once it was in.

I recently placed an order for a Winegard SD-3700 300-ohm antenna coupler to learn that the only outlet carrying this unit is charging me 32$ shipping. So before I commit to such a heresy, I'd like to check in here for anyone with insights as to who would carry this rarifying item in Canuck Country. Thanks, CM.

Thank you gentlemen, I really appreciate your input and have decided that I will go with the 4221HD antenna and see what channels I end up with. Is there a source for this antenna in Montreal or is ebay the best (cheapest) source ?

Many thanks

Vitesse electronique in st.laurent sells cheap antennas and accessories. But you are much better off to build your own GH, single or preferably double bay. Preamp makes big difference in roxboro/ddo for catching ABC and Fox. When the ice melts, definitely install the antenna as high as possible on roof or chimney. Regards.

Does anyone know where I can purchase a CM 7778 or 7777 in the Montreal area. Raybel and Montcalm carry on Wineguard.

Or would I be ok with a Wineguard AP 2870 pr AP 8700?

Pas le bon forum mais c'est disponible sur le site web de La Source. Livraison gratuite au magasin La Source le plus près de chez vous. C'est 90$ quand ce n'est pas en spécial.

Try calling Vi-Tesse on Cote-Vertu to see if they have stock

Raybel à Montréal-Est is suppose to receive a big order of CM preamps since late December but it was delayed.

You can try Roger @ rps satellite in vaudreuil, last time I was there I am pretty sure I saw a few cm 77?? stacked ontop of each other, mind you this was last year, I have not been by in a bit, I was digging through his stock while he was on the phone, ended up buying a few items I didn't even need hahaha.

Hi,

New to OTA, Can anyone recommend an installer. I would like to mount it on my roof. I'm located in the west island, near sunnybrooke train station.

thanks

Vluu I don't know if OTA installers exist for on the roof installation. Unlike satellite the OTA signals cannot be guarantied. Too many variables. Installing OTA setup, installer is taking a great risk that the reception won't be to customers satisfaction.

I'm looking to buy a Terk Indoor HDTV Amplified Antenna locally, in Montreal. I see it's available from The Source but it says Online only. I'd rather not pay for shipping in case it doesn't work as expected. Does anyone know of any stores in Montreal that sells it?
