Paramount doesn't support Blu-ray anymore so it's gonna be hard find any of their titles on blu-ray.

I called them, sounds good to me. However, I still have trouble to order
some HD that is only available in the US. For example, Unleashed and
Assault on Precinct 13. Where is distributed by Alliance in Canada. I found
one store at Woodbine and Hwy.7 beside the Chinese restruant is available
to rent, but not for sell:( . Mississauga is a bit far to me. Is there any
other store could be closer in Toronto area? Please. Thanks alot. ;)
a block north of that store you'll find DVD Wave. Ask for Michel and tell him that David Susilo the photographer says hello!

I pick up many of my HD DVD's from the following store. They have all the latest titles. Picked up Out of Sight and the Pat Metheny HD concert last night.

Great selection and wonderful service. Talk to Dave Hall.

Entertainment Warehouse
24-3170 Ridgeway Drive
Mississauga, Ontario L5L 5R4

I just checked that site. The price, to say the least, is crazy expensive. $40 for "We Own the Night" (plus taxes too! - totalling $45). You can get the same title delivered from Amazon.com for less than $35 !!!

My experience with this retailer has been less than satisfactory. I took a 30 minute trip out there three times to pick up a title that they claimed would be in on a certain date, only to find out on the third trip that they never actually ordered it because they were trying to build up a larger order.

I don't mind longer lead times for an unusual title, but the lack of truthfulness will keep me from buying there again.

Why not just call ahead to confirm before wasting time driving there?
I agree though, the "lack of truthfulness" is annoying.

My experience has been just the opposite with Entertainment Warehouse. I have been quite pleased with the service. Anything I order, they give me a call when it comes in.

Yes they are more expensive but they have or can get titles that are difficult to find in other stores.. Wanted Shakira (Oral Fixation Tour) and they were the only store I could find it when it first came out. Yes I could have ordered it from Amazon for less, but I wanted it right away. Great concert by the way. Performance, PQ and audio are top notch.

They also have a good collection of used Blu-ray and HD DVD's for sale. Most sell for $19.99 or less. I have picked up quite a few and never had a problem.

I am also on their emailing list so I know what titles have come in. If I want a title, I simply email them or call and they reserve a copy for me.

Ive found HD movies to be in the same boat as games. The release date is approximate. It might be on the shelves 1-2 days early or late! Seems to be better of late though.

Bay Street video has some titles that you can't find at other stores... for example MI1-3 on BluRay box set was still available and i was trying to find The Shining on BluRay as well. They don't have a lot of in stock per-se but they have a list online.

Also, found a place at the Scarborough Town Cenre called StarStruck that has a pretty vast selection of Blu/HD that I haven't seen at the other B&M shops.... same thing for HMV but their prices can be high so you have to watch out.

There are also StarStruck Entertainment locations at Square One in Mississauga (lower level, near the middle of the mall) and also one at Sherway Gardens, just off the food court.

This store is great for selection, but they are a bit pricey. However, you have a very good chance of finding the more-rare titles...
