Toronto plays Montreal: Live Full Network, excluding Ottawa (HD where available)

HD here, even Coach's Corner looks great.

CBC is covering the Edmonton game in HD, instead of bringing their HD truck to Montreal.

can't tell the difference between HD and SD? I guess some people can't. If you can't tell the difference though, it's probably a sign your not getting the picture quality you should be.

Sorry James, but you're not getting HD...no one is.

WTF?? Biggest and longest rivalry in Canada, and they don't show it in HD? I mean, c'mon. How does CBC explain that logic? It's not like you get a Toronto-Montreal matchup every week. Very disapppointing programming decision.

Toronto @ Montreal is definitely NOT in HD. It's in widescreen SD, no matter what carrier you have.

Game 2 (Wash v Edm) looks about the same as Game 1 for PQ. CBC has the softest HD out there. No comparison between this and the Buffalo HDNET game on NHLCI HD on Bell on Saturday.

This Wash/EDM looks waayy better then the Montreal/Toronto game. They're HD broadcasts may be soft but there is no way you can tell me that those two games looked the same.

The in close shots look better for sure. But it doesn't look like true HD. Perhaps Rexall lighting is part of the issue, I don't know.

Part of the problem is that even on HD games, CBC uses some SD cameras. Same is true for HD CFL on CBC.

dude you must either be blind, or your configuration is NOT outputting real HD. The difference between the first game and the second game was light and day.

There's is better and worse HD, but that doesn't change the fact that any HD is on a complete different level from SD.

Dude, I would tone down the comments a few levels.

The first game looked great (especially Coach's Corner). The second game looked better.

The fact is, good SD can look as good as HD. PBS has lots of widescreen SD that looks amazing.

Plus, some of us have really good HDTV's, so even the so-called inferior SD looks amazing.

The difference was noticable but if you think the first game looked bad, then perphaps you need to adjust your settings.

Of course the best solution would be more HD trucks but in the meantime, I'll settle for what we saw last night.

Not sure what the CBC website stated the game was in HD, if it wasn't.

Some parts of the first game looked good, but the second game was much better. A lot of the close-ups in the first game demonstrated clay face. Although it looked good, relatively speaking, you could tell it was not HD.

Everything about the second game was better. But I agree that CBC's HD is still not on par with that of the better US networks covering sports. Sunday Night Football looked fantastic last night, and I've seen some truly outstanding NHL games.
