That is great. But, I pay less:). I wish I can have that kind of download speed. I am just surprised that I got something for a little while that I did not pay for.

Just found out that I am supposed to get 10Mbps with Rogers Express. No wonder I got 9.9 the other day.

Recently signed up with teksavvy high speed dry loop. I'm only getting 2.5Mbps maximum speed. What could be the problem?

Advertised as 5Mbps/800Kbps

The problem with DSL is that based on your distance to the Central Office, they might put you on a slower profile even if your connection supports a faster connection. You might want to call TechSavvy and they might open a support call with Bell (or whoever your provider is), but chances are, this is the fastest your line may support.

The upload speed seems about right. Most people get around this speed for the 800 profile.

This is what I'm getting:

I am on a 9MB down and 1MB up package at $33.45. This is probably skewed since its early morning or something.

Robbers hispeed express. Looks like I'm getting ripped off - what a surprise.

Planning on TekSavvy once I finish putting a phone wire to where I'd like the modem jack.

I have the Rogers Hi-Speed Express and presently have a 50% discount.

If connected to a fast server, it's not unusual to see >800kb/sec downloads

Rogers Internet.

I get exactly what I pay for. 10Mbps down, 1Mbps up. I could get a more expensive package for faster speeds but I'm satisfied with this speed.

It was slower when I had Cable TV. I figure the splitter to the tv/cable modem was slowing it down.

i'd read that with docsis 2.0 adsl would have quite a larger sweetspot for range from CO's, not sure if techsavy in quebec is using it or not, i know here out west that telus has begun implimenting it. hopefully there will be more competition to shaw's network and we see some prices drop with two actually comparable services being offered.

These results are not correct because of the PowerBoost. Try testing with a 100mb file on testmy.net.

I am able to get 92 Mbps download speed from Supernews during non-peek hours. I am on Shaw Nitro (100/5). Shaw is going to split the node in my area in January which will hopefully help my speed during peek times and maybe even increase it during non-peek also. The speed tests don't seem to show off the speed I actually get though, I have tried like 30 different locations on speedtest.net and can't get anywhere near the speeds I get when downloading big files so I don't really see the point in posting that data. During peek hours I get around 64-72 Mbps.
