I have heard about this problem from time to time. Where and how does it occur? Hotel Rwanda was on MC-HD and so I rewound it to start recording. I rewound all the way to the beginning, hit record and it said "you must delete some stuff from the list, it is 100% full". Those were my words at least, it didn't say "stuff". Anyhow, that was BS, it was only 25% full. Anyhow, I looked and it did say 100% full, but then I hit EXIT, Hotel Rwanda started recording anyway, so I went to the list and Wedding Crashers was deleted, BUT I DIDN'T DELETE IT! Is this how the 100% problem happens? Can I not rewind a program to where the buffer starts to start recording it? 6412 PIII by the way.

For future referance, just hitting record will capture everything in the buffer. No need to rewind

The same thing happened to me a while ago, the movie "Ray" was automatically deleted when the box encountered the 100% full bug.
What I have been doing to 'circumvent' this problem is to set the "Delete Priority" of everything I want to keep to "I Delete", then record a couple of 1 min snips of something and leave them as "When Space is Needed". It forces the box to delete these useless snips if it encounters the problem.
I've seen the 100% full problem twice since then, once I didn't know it had happened but I noticed that one of my 1 min snips was gone. I'm assuming that it deleted one of them, which fixed the 100% full problem. The next time it happened was odd, I accidentally pressed the REC button on a show that was already recording. The 100% full message popped up and I deleted one of the snips to proceed.
I believe it's been reported that a reboot will solve the 100% issue (unplug/replug, wait for time display).
(This doesn't help if you're trying to record the buffer, however, a reboot once a month or so, may prevent the problem in the first place.)

Ah ok, i'm used to Bell's software. However, anyone know why it would delete wedding crashers when I hit exit? I would assume that would cancel the recording I was trying to do (fine with me).
As for unplugging the receiver, I try to do it once every few weeks, or whenever I can go without the guide for a few hours.
