I'm new here, so hi all!

Ok, I have an ACER 3705DTV, 37" LCD HDTV, my PS2 is connected with Monster component cables and the problem I have is whenever I'm playing a PS1 game, well it detects automatically as 480P and I have a split screen forming, the image on top is flatten but visible, on garbage is appering on the lower part of the split screen.:confused:

Anyone seen this before? If you can help, please do.

I am having the same problem. Whenever I play a PS1 game it detects as 480P however every PS2 games goes 480i and works fine.

I am using AT3201W LCD TV and everywhere I read says it supports 480i/p 720i/p and 1080i so this should work.

What PS2 version do you have? mines 3001 I wonder if maybe that has something to do with it. I am buying a new PS2 right away since mine can't boot DVD's anymore :( im stuck playing PS1 games.

The only way I found to get it working is to play PS1 games through an S-Video connection. Which sucks for logistic reason but hey, PS1 doesn't do HD, so who gives a damn! :)

In any case, I got this screen in early 2006 and as I see the other 1080p screen come out, well, I'm really greatful I made the move! I paid less than 1900$ CAN, so I think I got a great deal.
