Friend of mine moved into a new house, when he build the house he put up a 16' post for the dish at the back. On his SE side (where the signal should be) have some tall trees. He can get the 91 signal no problem. The 82 signal is only available in odd transponder, no even transponder signal. I though it was the wiring first but I run another wire from the dish directly to the receiver. Run check switch & it does't have 82'. Any help is appreciated.

Not sure if you tried this but run a new line directly from the 82 LNB on the antannae directly into the receiver with the "sat signal" screen up on the TV. Do not run any cabling through any switches yet. Check to see if you get a signal on 82 for both odds and evens. If you do get both then you know that your LNB works and that your cabling is good. If you only get the odds then you may have a bad LNB, cable, or problem with the receiver. Try spapping the 91 LNB with the 82 and see if that one works for both odds and evens and that will tell you if you have a bad LNB.
Next try hooking up the switch and if you are still only getting the odds then you may a have problem with the switch. Basically it's a question of trying to isolate the cause of the problem. Try things like swapping the cables and LNB's as well as bypassing the swtich until you can figure out where the problem lies.
PS - You do also realize that some of the transponders on 82 are not functional and you will not get them. Do a search on the forum to find out which transponders do not work. Good luck.

I just went through this, in my case it was simply the fact that the copper wire in the new RG6 cables I had bought was not sticking out far enough in the barrel. I cut the connectors off and installed new ones with about 1/4 inch sticking out and voila (BTW not all transponders are used on 82)

This is not true, all transponders on 82 work.
If you are using an SD receiver to verify signal levels on 82 you will not see them all as I believe about 26 transponders are using 8PSK modulation which the SD receivers cannot see.
